The Level 2 IRATA rope access training is an intermediate-level course designed for experienced technicians looking to improve their skills and become available for more complex projects. A minimum of 1000 hours of varied rope access work at level 1 is required in order to do the IRATA Level 2 course.
The IRATA level 2 training is a total of 6 consecutive days - 1 day refresher, 4 days training, 1 day independent assessment. Cost of the course is R9,000 per person including VAT.
On acceptance to the course, a R4 000.00 deposit (non-refundable) to confirm your spot on the course is required. Payment can be made online. If SGB Cape cancels the course your deposit will be refunded. Balance is due at least 7 days before the course starts. Failure to pay could result in losing your place on the course and your deposit.
To be accepted for the Level 2 course, IRATA stipulates a minimum requirement of 1000 hours of varied types of work over a minimum of 12 months, as a level 1 technician. SGB Cape recommends you complete 1 500 hours to advance.
All IRATA courses are valid for three years and can be renewed at any IRATA centre around the world.
